Privacy Policy

Privacy is a product feature on Foundera, not fine print. Five promises govern how your startup information is handled:

• You own it: Foundera does not claim ownership of your ideas, startup information or intellectual property.
• You control visibility: keep your startup private with Stealth mode, share it only with verified investors, hand-pick the exact investors and mentors who can see it, or open it to the Foundera community — and change your mind anytime.
• Investors are verified: investor access is granted only after review and verification.
• Private means private: private startup data is not shared with other founders or investors unless you choose to make it visible, and it is not used to train public AI models.
• Yours to take back: you can export or delete your startup and account data at any time.

Visibility levels:

• Stealth: only you and your startup team can see it.
• Investors only: visible only to verified Foundera investors.
• Investors + mentors: visible to verified investors and mentors.
• Custom: visible only to the investors and mentors you pick by name, plus anyone you invite by email once they join as a verified investor or mentor.
• Everyone: visible to the Foundera community.

Solo Labs Ventures ("we", "us", "our"), operates the Foundera platform ("Foundera", "the platform"). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, and we decide how and why it is processed.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services. By using Foundera, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

We collect the following types of information:

• Profile information: name, email, location, role (founder, investor, mentor, job seeker, student), bio, profile photo, and professional background.
• Startup data: company name, description, sector, stage, traction metrics, team information, and media you upload.
• Content: posts, comments, messages, job listings, event entries, and community contributions.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, clicks, search queries, and interactions with AI tools.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Subscription and billing records: your plan, subscription status, billing period, and the identifiers our payment provider returns to us. We never see or store your full card details — payment data is collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor.
• Cookies and similar technologies: for authentication, preferences, and analytics.

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract: creating and running your account, providing platform features, and managing your subscription.
• Legitimate interests: keeping the platform secure, preventing fraud and abuse, and improving our product.
• Consent: optional analytics or marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests.

We use your information to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Foundera platform.
• Match founders with investors, mentors, partners, and job opportunities.
• Enable AI-powered features such as startup analysis, content suggestions, and search recommendations.
• Send notifications, updates, and relevant communications.
• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
• Manage subscriptions, entitlements, invoices, and renewals for paid plans.
• Ensure security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Analyze usage trends to improve user experience.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with the following categories of recipients:

• Other users: your profile and startup information is visible to other Foundera users according to your privacy settings and the nature of the platform.
• Service providers and subprocessors: trusted third parties for hosting, database and storage, analytics, email delivery, and AI model providers. They are contractually bound to protect your data and process it only on our instructions.
• Payment processing (Stripe): checkout, card processing, subscription billing and invoicing are handled by Stripe on our behalf. When you purchase a plan, Stripe collects and processes your billing details and payment data under Stripe's privacy policy, and returns limited order and subscription data (such as your email, plan, and subscription status) to us so we can grant access.
• Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and tax advisers where necessary.
• Authorities: where disclosure is required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

Foundera uses artificial intelligence to power features such as startup analysis, mentoring guidance, matching, drafting help and search. To do this, relevant content you submit is processed by us and by third-party AI providers acting as our processors under contract.

Your private startup data is not used to train public or third-party foundation models. AI providers process it only to return a result to you, subject to their limited retention for abuse monitoring. We may use aggregated or de-identified usage information to improve the platform. AI outputs may be inaccurate — see our AI Disclosure for detail.

If you choose to connect your Gmail account to Foundera, you authorise Foundera to access the Gmail permissions you explicitly grant during the Google consent screen. Foundera requests only the minimum access needed:

• Read recent replies: Foundera reads recent inbox replies so your Growth or Sales bot can understand what customers and prospects are saying. It does not read your entire inbox or archive.
• Send or draft emails: Foundera can send an email from your own inbox, or save it as a draft, only when you or your bot explicitly requests it and only under the automation level you select.
• Email address: to confirm which Google account the connection belongs to.

Relevant Gmail content may be processed by Foundera's AI providers solely to provide the requested feature (for example, summarising a reply or drafting an outreach message). Gmail content is never sold, used for advertising, or used to train public or third-party AI models. You can disconnect Gmail at any time in the app; disconnecting revokes the access and deletes the encrypted connection record from Foundera. Foundera's use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law — for example, subscription and tax records retained by us or by Stripe for statutory accounting periods.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no internet-based platform can guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your account and associated data (available in Settings).
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Request a portable copy of the data you provided to us.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Foundera uses cookies and similar technologies to authenticate users, remember preferences, and analyze traffic. Our checkout provider also sets cookies necessary to complete a purchase. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may limit certain platform features.

Foundera is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including Türkiye, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States, where we and our service providers operate. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on the platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Foundera after changes constitutes acceptance.
